see a beautiful sunrise from Bukit Surga Bali! Find out out experience of welcoming sunrise in this Bali camp spot!
On August 2018, I went to the East of Bali, Karangasem. In this corner of Bali, we can find many camp spots. Bukit Surga (English: Hill of Heaven), is one of the best camping spot in Karangasem, Bali.
By the way, Me and my friend get lost while trying to find where Bukit Surga actually is. But then we met somebody that was really kind and show us the right way to go there. After 10 minutes, we finally found it.
We were a bit surprised, as we were charged approximately between 75.000-120.000 per person. And.. there was a wifi in there.
We were thinking if we brought our laptop, we can actually work in there, as my friends and I are digital marketers and developpers. Could be called as workaholic? But suddenly just realize and don’t wanna think about our job. Because we want a holiday! 😂😂
I have had a good time with my friend by camping in Bukit Asah. We have had a barbecue, told a stories, sung a song before sleeping and saw the beautiful sunrise in there.
I really recommend this place to enjoy your weekend with your partner, friends, or family in Bali. It’s important to get relax and refresh our mind after a busy week-days. Happy weekend everybody!
Travel to Lombok, visit Sade Village or Desa Sade in lombok for an amazing cultural experience in Lombok
if you are planning a trip to Lombok and wanna learn their culture, I strongly recommend you guys to visit Desa Sade. Desa means Village. And it is a traditional tourist village located in Central Lombok district. This tourist village is managed by local government and community or local tribe that is called as Sasak People.
In this village, there are many things that worth to know, especially for their cultural life. So, here are the unique things to know in Sade Village:
1. Weaving in Sade
Sasak Sade villagers, must learn weaving, especially women. The guide said:
“if you want to get married Sasak People, then you should learn weaving. If you don’t know how to weave, then you are not ready to get married yet.”
It’s funny and unique right? I think it is the good way to conserve their unique culture. By the way, for those who are looking for souvenir, kain tenun might be the best for you to choose. Kain means fabric, and tenun refers the progress of making or weaving. So, kain tenun is an original fabric made by Sasak people using weaving technique. It will cost approximately between Rp 100.000 to Rp 500.000. If you want a cheaper souvenir, you can buy their weaved bracelet which costs Rp 5.000 – Rp 20.000. I bought one for my sister. It is also to appreciate the local people who made it. The bracelet is quiet unique and simple. I like it!
2. Traditional House
The Sade’s houses are made from bamboo, wood and dried grass roof, has a very unique architecture. The floor is made from clay. What is unique from the house is that the floor are all covered by cow dung to prevent the mosquitoes. Even if it’s covered by cow dung, there was no bad smell of the cow dung at all. Wonderful right?
To visit Sade Village, you can take a car or just drive a motorcycle, just like what I was doing with my friends from the Lombok Capital. I was staying in Mataram and I spent approximately 1 hour to reach the village. This place is recommended for you who are craving cultural adventure and unique story about Lombok tribes. I’d really love to visit Lombok again someday!
How about you guys? Have you ever been in Lombok?

Here are 2 fun things to do while you visit Sanur Beach Bali
Just got an idea for today’s blog post which will be about ….. Biking in Sanur area.
Sanur is one of famous beaches in Bali where we can see beautiful sunrise every morning and enjoy “Lumpia Bali” (a traditional snack) at the same time. FYI, there are many versions of Lumpia in every region of Indonesia. The most famous Lumpia in Indonesia is in Semarang.
But actually, Bali also have their own Lumpia, which we can find around Sanur and Renon. But please don’t forget to litter in the proper place after you eat Lumpia. Sometime I still can find Lumpia’s wrap on the beach sand. And it’s not really good at all.
Remember to keep the area for better future. Right? 😊
So.. What we can do in Sanur?
In Sanur, we can rent a canoe and float on the sea. It cost IDR 15.000,00. and you’ll be free canoeing for 1 hour.
Same as renting a canoe, you can rent a bike in Sanur, which also cost IDR 15.000,00/hour. It’s recommended to do in the morning 7 am where you will get morning fresh air.
If you are stayin’ in Sanur, don’t forget to try these fun activities. Get more experience and healthier body at the same time in Sanur! 😘
travel & adventure in Bali is a must thing to do once a lifetime. visiting Aling-Aling and Kroya Waterfall is one of the best things to do while in Bali
It was just two weeks ago I got a new chance to discover Bali’s beautiful waterfall that is called “Aling Aling”. My Friends and I needed approximately 2 and a half hours to reach this waterfall from my home which is situated in Denpasar. It’s located in the north side of Bali, more precisely in Sukasada Village, Buleleng – Bali.
In the same area, actually we can find 3 waterfalls which are Kroya Waterfall, Aling Aling Waterfall and Pucuk Waterfall. In that day, I visited 2 waterfalls at the same time which are Kroya and Aling-Aling.
What Kind of Activity We Can Do in There?
Swimming – Off course we can swim in this crystal clear water. But remember to pay attention since sometimes the water flow could get heavier.
Cliff Jumping – In Kroya you can do cliff jumping or sliding down which is just 5 meters high. However, we can say if Kroya is a little bit safer than Aling-Aling as it is the smallest waterfall compared to 3 other, including Aling-Aling, while the other waterfall has heavy water flow and sometimes a little bit dangerous.
Actually there was an option for ticket entrance: It cost IDR 125.000 to enjoy all activities or IDR 20.000 with no swimming allowed. But it’s enough for us to visit and enjoy the beauty of these two waterfall. Chill and escape a moment from the busy days in Denpasar.

Do you have a plan to trek Mount Batur? Here are my experiences climbing the beauty of Mount Batur, Kintamani, Bali.
2017 was my first time trekking. Even I was born and grew up in Bali, I have never climbed Mount Batur before. My parents always brought guests or my family from Java to go to tourist destinations in the south of Bali, such as Kuta, Jimbaran, or near to the north side of Bali, like Bedugul, Candi Kuning, etc. I’ve been always go around Bali with my parents using a car. I never go around alone either with motorbike or car. Because I was too young and small to ride a bike. But since grew up and got taller, I am riding a motorbike until now.
But then I have had move to Yogyakarta for study in Gadjah Mada University, took French Litterature as major. Once again, I have lost the chance to climb it.
A few years later I went back to Bali, and did it. Yeah, as I said, it was 2017, with my office collegues.
I was working in Bali’s digital agency in that moment as French SEO specialist, and always got wonderful weekend with my office collegues to explore Bali.
At first hiking, I was trembling. Because it was also my first time I didn’t sleep. Well I never spent my time in night club and always sleep at 9 pm. Hahah\na.. oh sorry, let’s back to mount Batur!
We left Denpasar at 1 am, and must climbed at 2.30 am.
Oh yes, Mount Batur is located in Kintamani by the way, and we must spent approximately 1 hour riding a bike from Denpasar to Kintamani.
Arrived in there, we started to explore mount Batur at 3 am. Hoping we don’t miss the sunrise view at the summit of Mount Batur. And yeah we got it! Even when we were on the way to the summit, I said to my friends that I want to sleep, and ran out the energy. Plus, I cannot see anything because it was really dark and blur with my minus eyes. I forgot my glasses and I can’t see anything in the dark. I got help from my friend named Yusnia, to take my hand while climbing, so I didn’t get lost with my blurry eyes. Hahhaa. And then the reward was really beautiful! I saw the sunrise at the top of Mount Batur which is 1717m above sea level! (Of course with my sleepy face)
The second trekking was in March 2018. Which I was ready ready!
I slept in the afternoon to charge the energy and then climbed Batur for the second time with my collueges (also with glasses in the eyes hahaha). I was not nervous anymore and didn’t need help just like the first time hiking. Then it was really easy to step the summit at the second climbed, cause I think I have adapted and already knew the trick to step up on the Mount Batur. We spent 2-3 hours to arrive at the top of Mount Batur.
We felt like … A bunch random persons.
“Owww we are in heaven now!!”
See that beautiful cloud around??
I felt like we were in Avatar Ang’s country. 😂
FWI, there’s a ticket entry for tourist to do Mount Batur Trekking. It costs IDR 400.000/persons in 2018 accompanied with local guide.
There are also different prices from travel agents in Bali. Could be cheaper or more expensive.
After all, I hope my blog gives you enough reference of Mount Batur Trekking.
Happy Ramadhan for all Muslim and also for my self as a Muslim Girl grew up with Balinese Culture. Heheh. 😊🙏
I will share you later about my lovely cultural life and art in Bali ❤️
